Centreville, VA - Junior Darrell Andruski (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) finished second out of 153 runners to lead the GW Men's Cross Country team to a sixth place finish out of 15 teams. Freshman Lindsay Blum (Holland, PA/Council Rock) finished 15th out of 164 runners to lead the women's team to a fourth place finish out of 16 teams at the George Washington Invitational today at Bull Run Park in Centreville, VA.

Andruski completed the course in 25:45.42, just seconds behind race winner Andy Allstadt of the University at Albany. Andruski was joined at the front of the pack by teammates, senior David Talbird (Lookout Mountain, TN/McCallie School) , who finished fifth with a time of 26:02.01, and junior Dave Azari (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury), who finished 11th with a time of 26:16.95.

On the women's side, Blum placed 15th with a time of 19:03.17, improving on last weeks time. Blum was followed by sophomores Mary Beth McCullough (Brentwood, TN/Father Ryan), Emily Jadwin (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) and Erin Patton (Saline, MI/Saline) who all finished in the top 35. Trina Bolton (Avondale Estates, GA/The Lovett School) rounded out the scoring for GW with a 55th place finish.
