Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams Finish Sixth at the Atlantic 10 Championships
Nov. 1, 2003 PHILADELPHIA, PA - The George Washington University's cross country teams both finished sixth at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday, November 1. Senior Darrell Andruski (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) finished first for the men in sixth place and freshman Bridget Skeuse (Stockton, NJ/Immaculata) led the women with a 17th place finish. Andruski finished in a time of 25:30.2, which was his best time of the season. He was followed by senior Dave Azari (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury), who finished in 20th place with a time of 26.18.8. Freshman Ryan Shaver (Coatesville, PA/Coatesville) was next for the Colonials in 49th place. Freshman Daniel Morgan (Danville, KY/Boyle County) and sophomore Phil Sherman (Greenwich, CT/Greenwich) were the other runners to score for GW. The sixth place finish was one spot behind the fifth place finish the team had at last year's championships. The women improved three places from last year's ninth place finish and did it without last season's top runner Lindsay Blum. Skeuse continued her strong season by finishing with a time of 19.24.5. Junior Erin Patton (Saline, MI/Saline) ran her best race of the season and finished in 31st place. Junior Trina Bolton (Avondale Estates, GA/The Lovett School) and senior Emily Jadwin (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) finished together followed by sophomore Meghan Dunn (Clinton, NY/Clinton) to round out GW's scoring.
