Cross Country To Battle Holmdel Park at Monmouth Invitational on Friday

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington University men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the 13th Annual Monmouth Invitational in Holmdel, NJ, on Friday morning. Holmdel Park, the site for this years Invite, is continually ranked in The Harrier Rankings among the toughest courses in the nation.

Saint Peters College, Felician College, Delaware, Delaware State, and the United States Merchant Marine Academy are all scheduled to compete against the Colonials, and the host Hawks. All teams will run both their men's and women's teams except Delaware St., who will only run their men's squad.

GW is coming off fourth and ninth place team finishes, respectively, for the women's and men's teams at last weekends Mason Invitational. The women were led by senior Mae Polhemus who clocked a personal record 22:59.89 in her eighth place finish in the six-kilometer course. Fellow senior Mark Drath covered the eight-kilometer course in a personal record time of 26:34 to lead the men.
