Cross Country Falls To Richmond In B Race

RICHMOND, VA (October 7, 2000) - Richmond's men's and women's cross country teams swept GW's B team in Saturday's dual meet action on the campus of the University of Richmond.

Richmond freshman Lindsey Webber captured the women's race with a time of 19:19. The Colonials were led by junior Jenee Peterson (Latham, NY/Shaker), who ran the 3.1-mile course in 21:04.

Richmond freshman Dan Kane won the men's competition with a time of 23:29. GW freshman Nick Capone (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) placed fifth with a time of 23:40 and sophomore Rob Wolchieski finished ninth with a time of 24:43.

The Colonials B team will compete at the George Mason Invitational on Saturday, October 14, while GW's A team will travel to Blacksburg, VA to compete in the Virginia Tech Invitational on Saturday.
