Debra Hasfurther is in her third year at GW. After two years as an assistant coach, she is currently serving as interim coach for the GW cross country team. A 1997 Kalamazoo College graduate, Hasfurther competed on the varsity cross country team and on the varsity track and field team. During her time there, Hasfurther was a regional champion in the 800 meters. A scholar athlete, Hasfurther was an MIAA Academic All-Conference member and on the Athletic Honor Roll. Hasfurther also received the Varsity Captain Award. Hasfurther captained both the track and field team and the cross country team.

Hasfurthur received a Bachelor of Arts in 1997. She was a volunteer assistant for the GW cross country team, as well as GW's track and field club from 1997-1998. Hasfurther resides in Washington, D.C.
