George Washington Head Baseball Coach Steve Mrowka has announced the addition of Tim Brown as an assistant coach. Brown spent the 2009 season as a volunteer assistant coach in his first year with the Colonials staff.

George Washington junior pitcher Eric Cantrell led the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Summer League to their first league championship in 44 years of existence, when they swept Cotuit with a 5-1 win at Lowell Park to win the Arnold Mycock trophy and claim a place among the other nine teams in the league as champions.

Haberern pinch hit in the ninth inning and lifted the previously scoreless Colonials to a 4-2 victory over the Saint Joseph's Hawks. It lifted the Colonials record to 21-33 on the season and their A-10 conference record to 10-15.
