Former Marquette Basketball Manager Joins Gregg Ritchie's Staff
His primary responsibilities include oversight of the team's student managers, travel and recruiting plans, coordination of video services, practice management and alumni relations.
McKew joined the baseball staff following a four-year stint as a student manager for the Marquette University men's basketball program. During his time at Marquette, McKew played an integral role behind the scenes during the Golden Eagles' runs to the Sweet 16 in (2011, 2012) and Elite 8 in (2013).
The Portland, Maine, native has also served as an assistant coach for the Cheverus High School baseball team in addition to working various baseball and basketball youth camps as a coach. He has also spent time as an instructor with The Edge Academy Baseball Training Center in Portland. He also was an assistant coach for the 2012 Maine State Champion American Legion team, that finished as the Northeast Regional runner up.
