UNC held a 6-0 lead through five and a half innings before scoring five times in the bottom of the sixth to make it an 11-0 game.

In the battle of the southpaws, GW starter LHP Dan Pfau (0-1) suffered the loss as the senior allowed five earned runs, five singles, four walks and struck out six in 5.0 innings of work.

UNC right fielder Matt Spencer went 3-for-4 with a home run (3), four runs scored, stole three bases and notched two RBI in the contest. Spencer went 5-for-14 in the series, with two home runs, six RBI and a game saving diving catch in game two.
