ARLINGTON, Va. - Senior Mark Osis hit a two-run, walk-off home run afternoon in the opening game of a doubleheader Sunday to lift George Washington baseball to a 6-4 win over Monmouth and a weekend series victory.

The Colonials weren't able to complete the sweep, falling to the Hawks, 7-3, in the series finale at Tucker Field at Barcroft Park.

  • The Colonials managed to turn their seven hits into six runs, boosted by seven walks and two hit batters.
  • Osis finished the opener 2-3 with a home run, three RBIs and a run scored, plus two walks.
  • Steven Barmakian reached base five times and scored twice. He had a single and three walks, and he ended up safe at first after a dropped third strike in his other plate appearance.
  • Isaiah Pasteur's RBI triple in the ninth was his fifth extra-base hit of the season. He hit two home runs in Friday's win over Monmouth.
