WACO - The George Washington baseball team entered Sunday's finale at Baylor looking to avoid a sweep but the Bears held serve in the series finale and used a late surge at the plate to pick up a 5-1 win at Baylor Ballpark.

  • Junior Nathan Woods was serviceable on the mound in the starting effort. He scattered five hits and allowed only one unearned run with one strikeout and one walk.
  • Both of Baylor's scoring innings were aided by errors in the field.
