GW Baseball Levels Norfolk State, 10-1

Washington D.C. - Right fielder Brad Rosenblat (New Orleans, LA / Newman / Tulane) homered (7), doubled and drove in five runs in George Washington University's (15-10) 10-1 victory Tuesday afternoon over Norfolk State University (7-26) at Barcroft Park.

Colonials' starter RHP Brain Frazier (Allentown, PA / Emmaus) (3-0) did not allow a run or a walk and yielded just one hit in five innings to earn the win.

After taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning, Rosenblat drove in a pair of runs with a second inning double and followed that with a three-run shot in GW's six-run third that put the Colonials on top 9-0.

The Spartans' lone run came in the seventh inning when left fielder Whitney Moore's ground out scored right fielder George Moriba from third base.

NSU produced two hits for the entire game.

Spartans' starter LHP Rocco Savage (0-3) lasted just two innings and was roughed up for eight earned runs as he suffered the loss.

GW returns to action Wednesday as it hosts George Mason University at Barcroft Park. Game time is set for 3:00 pm.

The Colonials next Atlantic 10 series begins Saturday with a home doubleheader against St. Bonaventure.
