CHARLOTTE, NC - The George Washington University baseball team fell in Charlotte on Saturday afternoon by the final fo 12-2. Sophomore Eric Cantrell started the game and went six innings, while allowing five earned runs and striking our five.

Redshirt junior Sean Rockey and senior Tim Reeves each had two hits and an RBI. The Colonials were trailing 5-2 in the seventh inning, but five 49ers runs opened the lead to 10-2 and put the game away.

The Colonials will take on the same 49ers team in the second game of the doubleheader before wrapping the series on Sunday.
