Baseball Closes Strong in 12-4 Win at Delaware State
DOVER, Del. - Senior Bobby Campbell connected on his team-leading seventh home run of the season and freshman Nate Fassnacht hit his first career long ball as the George Washington baseball team rolled to a 12-4 win over Delaware State on Wednesday afternoon at Soldier Field.

ON THE RIGHT TRACK: After a 1-5 start to the season, GW has gone 4-1 on the current homestand with victories last week against Georgetown, Maryland Eastern Shore and a series victory over Monmouth. GW's overall season record now sits at 5-6.

STREAKING: Senior Matt Cosentino has hit safely in five straight games after powering GW throughout the last week. He totaled two home runs and 10 RBIs in five games last week while finishing with multiple hits in three games.

DRIVING THEM HOME: Sophomore Nate Fassnacht currently sits second in the A-10 with 12 RBI on the season. Cosentino and senior Mark Osis are right behind him, tied at sixth overall in the conference with 10 apiece.

LOOK AHEAD: GW will head south to the heart of Texas for spring break. The Colonials will visit Baylor for a three-game series (Friday-Sunday) before playing a neutral-site game against Minnesota on Tuesday (March 13) in Dallas.

SERIES HISTORY: GW swept the home-and-home series last year with UMBC to improve its record in the all-time series to 33-18.

The Colonials also won both games against Delaware State last year and lead the series, 13-8-1.
