WASHINGTON - The George Washington baseball team's weekend series vs. Cornell has been relocated to Robert J. Talbot Field on the campus of Catholic University. The Colonials and Big Red will play doubleheaders on both Saturday (12 p.m.) and Sunday (12 p.m.), in the first meeting between the two school since the 1957 season, when the Colonials notched a 7-2 victory.

Construction is ongoing at Barcroft Park in Arlington, Va., as part of a multi-million dollar renovation. The first phase of the project - turf installation, dugouts and bullpens - is expected to be ready prior to the Atlantic 10 opener vs. La Salle on March 23-25.

Construction will be on going through the spring. Progress can be monitored at GWSports.com.

Dedicated in 2000, Roger J. Talbot Field is home to CUA's baseball team. The field was named in honor of Robert J. Talbot, '60, who wore many hats at CUA including those of baseball coach, dean of admissions and financial aid, athletic director and senior gift officer in the office of development.
