WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington's Paul Pakan has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week for baseball, the league office announced Monday. It marks George Washington's second A-10 honor of the 2010 season.

Pakan hit .389 (7-18) over his four games the past two weeks, scored six runs and drove in four. He hit the game-winning home run in a 9-7 win against UMBC (3/9) and also walked twice.

The Colonials will return to action Tuesday against Marist and will also play the Red Foxes on Wednesday. The Colonials will then square off against Georgetown over the weekend with the Friday game set to be played at Barcroft Park and the two weekend contests at Shirley Povich Field. The Friday game is set to begin at 3:00 p.m., while the two weekend contests have 2:00 p.m. start times.
