PHILADEPHIA, PA - George Washington's Chris Holland has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Co-Player of the Week for baseball, the league office announced Monday. It marks Holland's first A-10 Player of the Week honor of the 2009 season. It is also the fourth all-conference honor for George Washington Baseball this season as Pat Lehman was Co-Pitcher of the Week, redshirt junior Sean Rockey was Co-Player of the Week and Ryan Lapointe was Pitcher of the Week.

Holland reached base 12 times in 14 plate appearances and scored seven runs as George Washington won all three of its games on the week. He collected two hits in all three contests and batted .750 with three RBI. Holland also added five walks and a pair of stolen bases.

The Colonials will return to action tomorrow against George Mason (4/7) with first pitch at 3:00 p.m and will travel to Towson on Wednesday (4/8). This weekend the Colonials travel to Charlotte (4/10-4/12) as they continue A-10 conference play. The Friday game is set to begin at 6:00 p.m., while the two weekend contests have 2:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. start times.
