WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington's Eric Cantrell has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference co-Pitcher of the Week for baseball, the league office announced Monday. It marks Cantrell's second A-10 Pitcher of the Week honor of the 2010 season.

Cantrell notched his fifth victory of the season after allowing two earned runs in a complete game effort on Apr. 11 in George Washington's 7-2 win at Dayton. Cantrell struck out 16 batters on the day, which were two off the program record set by Jodie Wampler in 1970. Cantrell now has a team-leading 65 strikeouts on the season. This is Cantrell's first A-10 honor in his collegiate career.

The Colonials will return to action this week against Towson (4/13) and Georgetown (4/14). Both games will be at Barcroft Park and have first pitches at 3:00 p.m. The Colonials will continue A-10 conference play next weekend when they travel to Richmond for a three-game series.
