May 5, 2014

WASHINGTON - George Washington baseball head coach Gregg Ritchie has announced that pitchers Randy Dalrymple (Tucson, Ariz./Sabino/Gateway CC) and Chance Malek (Aston, Pa./Garnet Valley) have committed to join the program for the 2015 season.

Dalrymple and Malek join eight student-athletes that were previously announced as the 2015 recruiting class on March 26.

"We are very excited to announce the addition of both Randy and Chance to our incoming recruiting class," said Coach Ritchie. "Both players will add important pitching depth to our lineup and we expect them both to be great contributors for us next season and beyond."

Dalrymple is playing this season for Gateway Community College in Tucson, Arizona. He currently has a 9-2 record in 13 starts and leads the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) with a 1.18 ERA. He has totaled 61 strikeouts in 84.0 innings pitched while helping the Geckos to a 36-23 record as of May 5. He was named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Pitcher of the Week in early February and recently earned First Team All-ACCAC honors.

Malek, currently a senior at Garnet Valley High School, was an All-Delaware County selection as a junior. He is a 2014 Perfect Game Preseason Atlantic Region All-High School selection.
