WASHINGTON, DC - The Colonials' Thursday baseball game against Mount St. Mary's has been cancelled with the team in action next against Xavier on Saturday. Saturday's doubleheader starts at noon and a fan bus will leave from Smith Center at 11:15 am. Sunday will also senior day for baseball's soon-to-be graduates.

By loosing Thursday's game, GW will complete the regular season with the maximum 56 games allowed. The Colonials are currently 33-14 overall and 15-3 in conference. GW is on a nine game winning streak, their longest this season and tied for 11th longest all-time. Additionally, GW has swept their last two conference series and sits atop the A-10 West, while tied for the overall conference crown.

GW's winning percentage is in the top 35 in the NCAA so far this season with nine regular season games left to play. If GW wins-out it could match their best-ever win total of 42 in the regular season. This year's Atlantic 10 Tournament will again be held in Norwich, CT between May 26th and May 29th. The Colonials need just one more conference win to reach the A-10 tournament for a league-best fifth straight season.

The Colonials play host to Xavier this weekend with a Saturday doubleheader followed by a single game on Sunday. A fan bus will be provided for Saturday's games and Sunday features senior day before the start of the noontime game. Next week GW has Delaware on the road at 3:00 pm on Tuesday followed by their last A-10 series at Duquesne.

The Duquesne series has been moved forward one day so that seniors can be a part of graduation on Sunday, May 16th. The Dukes and Colonials will now play a seven inning game on Friday at 3:00 pm. Saturday's doubleheader will start at noon featuring a seven inning game followed by a nine inning game.
