WASHINGTON - A total of 15 George Washington baseball players are set to participate in various summer baseball leagues around the country, including five players who will participate in the local Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League.
Local student-athletes Colin Milon, Danny O'Donnell, Luke Olson and Max Kaplow, along with out-of-towner Jacob Williams (Greenwood, Del.), will compete in the 12-team Ripken League.
Milon returns to the Alexandria Aces for the third consecutive summer while O'Donnell makes his second appearance in the league as a member of the Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts. Kaplow will play for the Herndon Braves while Olson will pitch for the Rockville Express. Williams will play for the league's newest team, the DC Grays.
Two players will have the opportunity to play on the same team as rising sophomores Nolan Lodden and Gabe Scott will both suit up for the Pompano Beach Clippers in the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League.
