The marketing major has a 3.86 GPA and has been named to the Verizon Academic District II Baseball Team the last three years. He ranks among the top 10 on seven of GW's all-time career lists. He is eighth in career hits with 205, tied for eighth in games played (200), ninth in most at-bats (659), ninth in bases on balls with 92, 10th in stolen bases with 41, and tied for 10th in both runs scored (145) and most total bases (286).

This season, Dokoupil batted .291 with 10 doubles, three home runs and 29 RBIs. He also was 3-for-3 in stolen bases. He was the 2003 recipient of GW's Student-Athlete Advisory Council Senior Male Athlete Academic Award.

Dokoupil won the Distinguished Scholar Award from the GW School of Business and Public Management (SBPM) and was flown by SPBM from this year's Atlantic 10 Conference tournament in Norwich, CT, back to Washington to speak at the school's commencement ceremony. He returned to Connecticut later the same day to compete for the Colonials.

The 2002 A-10 champion Colonials (37-18, 12-9 A-10) were among the final four teams in the 2003 Conference Tournament for the third consecutive year.
