GW Baseball's Swiggart Earns MCL All-League Honors

CHICAGO - George Washington baseball junior Tyler Swiggart has earned a spot on the Midwest Collegiate League (MCL) All-League team following a standout summer season for the Joliet Admirals as a relief pitcher.

Swiggart was one of three relief pitchers named to the 14-member All-League Team. He pitched to a 3-3 record with a 2.48 ERA across 18 games for the Admirals, earning one save in 29.0 innings of work while boasting a 28-to-5 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

The Admirals finished with a 27-20 overall record to place second in the regular-season standings.

The Wall, New Jersey, native has appeared in 38 games across his first two seasons as a relief pitcher for the Colonials. He pitched in 18 games as a junior and notched 18 strikeouts in 20.2 innings of work.
