GW Baseball's 16th Annual Golf Outing Set for October 25

WASHINGTON - GW baseball's 16th annual Golf Outing has been scheduled for Friday, October 25 at Lake Presidential Golf Club in Upper Marlboro, Md.
Participants will have the opportunity to socialize with the GW baseball coaching staff, players, Hall of Fame members and administrators while enjoying a great day on one of the best courses in the state of Maryland.
The event gets underway at 11:30 a.m. with registration. The tournament will begin at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start followed by an awards ceremony, held in conjunction with the reception, at 6 p.m.
The day will be highlighted by a silent auction that will display historic baseball memorabilia that will surely get fans excited. The tournament is open to all George Washington University alumni, members of the hall of fame, donors, parents, faculty and staff, fans and friends of the program.
The Honorary Chair and Guest Speaker for GW baseball's 2013 Golf Outing is Athletic Hall of Famer and former head coach Mike Toomey '74 . GW baseball's Most Valuable Player in 1974, Toomey lettered twice for the Colonials before becoming head coach following his graduation. He led the Colonials to 102 wins over five seasons, including the team's first and only win in the NCAA Tournament in 1979.
Pre-registration is required and the tournament is limited to the first 144 golfers.
Individual entry includes 18 holes of golf, cart and range balls, hole-in-one contest, lunch, dinner reception, awards ceremony, beverages and a golfer gift. To register please click here.
