Stroop served as an assistant baseball coach and strength & conditioning intern at the Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tenn., as well as an assistant coach at St. Alban's School where he worked primarily with infielders and hitters.

Stroop also played professional baseball in the Independent Pecos League for the Ruidoso Osos and the Carlsbad Bats (2011).
