GW Baseball Announces 2014 Schedule & Season Ticket Options
Colonials to Host 29 Games at Barcroft Park

WASHINGTON - The George Washington baseball team, under the direction of second-year head coach and reigning Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year Gregg Ritchie, will host 29 games at Barcroft as part of a 56-game schedule in 2014.
Last season, the Colonials returned to the Atlantic 10 Championship for the first time since 2006 and defeated No. 3 seed Rhode Island before being eliminated in the final four of the bracket by eventual champion and No.1 seed Saint Louis. Read more about the accomplishments of the 2013 squad here.
GW opens its season with six of its first seven games on the road. The Colonials will visit UNC Greensboro Feb. 14-16 before returning home to Barcroft Park to host UMES in the home opener on Feb. 19. GW then travels to Southeastern Louisiana Feb. 21-23.
The Colonials host Delaware State in the first installment of a home-and-home series on Feb. 26 before opening a three-game series against Lafayette Feb. 28-March 2.
GW makes its annual trek to Charlottesville, Va., on March 4 to face 2013 Super Regional participant Virginia before returning home for an eight-game home stand which includes a pair of doubleheaders against Cornell (March 8-9), a midweek contest against Saint Peters (March 12) and a three-game series with Monmouth (March 14-16).
After non-conference visits to Delaware State (March 18) and Georgetown (March 19), GW opens its Atlantic 10 Conference schedule with a three-game series against Saint Joseph's March 21-23.
Home conference series also feature newcomer George Mason (April 4-6), Massachusetts (April 18-20) and Rhode Island (Mary 9-11).
Road conference series include visits to Saint Louis (March 28-30), La Salle (April 11-13), Richmond (April 25-27), VCU (May 2-4) and St. Bonaventure (May 15-17).
Additional non-conference games include home dates against UMBC (March 25), Coppin State (April 8) and Towson (April 9) and return visits to UMBC (April 15), UMES (April 23) and Towson (April 30).
The 2014 Atlantic 10 Championship will be held at Billikens Sports Center on the campus of Saint Louis University May 21-25.
Season tickets are available for purchase for $50 per seat. Seating at GW home games is general admission. Single-game tickets will also be available on this date ($6 adults, $4 youth). Groups of 10 or more may purchase group tickets at a special rate of $3 per ticket. Group tickets must be purchased in advance and are not available on game day.
New for the 2014 season is the Barcroft Bound ticket program, where individuals can purchase blocks of season tickets at a discounted rate, with tickets being donated to Arlington County's Department of Human Services. Tickets are available in bulks of 10 seats for $450, 15 seats for $700 and 20 seats for $850.
Starting Dec. 2, fans can also purchase one of two mini-pack ticket options. The Buff Mini Pack ($24) allows fans to choose any six regular-season games while with the Blue Mini Pack ($36) fans can choose any 12 regular-season games.
