• appeared in only 2 games this season (Auburn, UMES)

High School:
Averaged 10.0 points and 8.0 rebounds and three blocks as a senior at St. Benedict's Prep under coaches Dan Hurley and Dennis DuBois. "Jabari is a high-energy player who runs the floor very well," DuBois said of Edwards. "He is an explosive shot-blocker who will definitely make an immediate impact on the defensive end and, with time, will become a terrifc all-around player for GW." As a sophomore, Edwards averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds to help Poly Prep on its NYSAIS class B state championship run. Edwards' first name means "fearless" in Swahili. St. Benedict's (Newark, NJ) posted a 24-1 record in 2006-07 and was ranked No. 5 in the USA Today Super 25 national poll and No. 2 in the East.Its lone loss was to No. 2 St. Patrick (Elizabeth, NJ) in January. Also won two in-season tournaments. St. Benedict's does not compete for a state championship.
