Played in 29 of 30 games with one start, averaged 9.1 minutes, 1.8 points on 42.1 percent (16-38) shooting and 1.6 rebounds ... As a Freshman in 2011-12:
Started first 17 games of collegiate career, finished with 18 starts in 31 games played as a freshman ... Averaged 2.7 points on 45 percent shooting (38-84) and 2.0 rebounds in 12.7 minutes per game ... Second career double-digit effort with 10 points in victory over Delaware State (12/31/11) ... Made all six field goals en route to career-high 12 points against Bradley (12/15/11) ... Grabbed season-best eight rebounds against nationally ranked #3 Syracuse (12/10/11) ... Luggage lost on first-ever collegiate road trip to #24 California, wore #42 on blue road jersey for three games until luggage was returned on Dec. 3 from China ... High School:
Averaged 14 points, six rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game while shooting 58 percent as a senior last season at Milwaukee's Marquette High School under coach David Cooks. Kopriva helped lead the Hilltoppers to a 16-8 record last season and a combined record of 53-20 (.726) during his three seasons on the varsity.
A three-year varsity starter, Kopriva has been named Team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year at Marquette H.S. He also has been named to the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association 2011 All Star and All-Academic Team and was twice-named First Team All-Conference in both 2009-10 and 2010-11. He helped lead the Hilltoppers to the Division 1 State Semifinals as a junior year and the Conference title as a senior.
A two-sport star at Marquette H.S., Kopriva also played quarterback for the Hilltoppers' football team. On the gridiron, he led the squad to a 10-3 record--including a 10-game win streak--that ended in the state semifinals.
