Matt Lisiewski is in his fifth year as Director of Basketball Operations at GW. In that role, he handles the day-to-day operations of the basketball program, including non-conference scheduling, team travel, budgetary matters, equipment needs, summer camps and supervision of student team managers, while also serving as a liaison to Athletics Department. During the summer of 2012, Lisiewski played an integral role in coordinating GW's 12-day, five-game tour of Italy.

Prior to coming to GW, Lisiewski spent five years at Maryland as Video Director for the men's basketball team. He was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the team's film and video needs, including opponent scouting, coordinating film exchange, managing the video room and supplying coaching staff with game film. Lisiewski also assisted with Coach Gary Williams' Golf Tournaments and Basketball Camps. While at Maryland, Lisiewski oversaw a remodel of the video office which supplied the coaching staff with the latest video technology.

Lisiewski served two years as the Graduate Manager/Video Coordinator at SMU in Dallas. In addition to handling all video needs for the Mustangs' staff, he worked closely with the director of basketball operations to assist with logistics relating to practice, scouting, games, travel, housing, training table and academics. He has also worked as a production assistant at Fox Sports in Los Angeles, and served an internship at CNN-Sports Illustrated in Atlanta, Ga.

Lisiewski has twice served as a support staff member for USA Basketball - in New York City before the team's departure for the 2010 FIBA World Championships in Turkey, and in Washington, D.C., before the team's departure for the 2012 London Olympics.

A native of The Woodlands, Texas, Lisiewski received his bachelor's degree in telecommunications from Florida in 2002.
