Averaged 29.3 points, 7.1 assists and 6.3 rebounds a game as a senior at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, NY, under coach Tim Philp. The Crusaders posted a 17-7 record during Taylor's junior season in 2007. Taylor totalled 551 points and 171 assists (6.8 apg) to lead Westchester County in both categories his junior season. He was named All-County second team by the Westchester County Journal News as well as New York City honorable mention by the New York Daily News. Was nominated for the McDonald's All-American Team. Named Student of the Week. Set the single-game record with 32 points at the Slam Dunk Tournament at the Westchester County Center and then broke his own record with 54 points. Is one of 11 former Stepinac players to break the 1,000-point mark. He held the scoring record for the County with 1,472 points. Played alongside Duquesne freshman Melquan Bolding at Archbishop Stepinac.
