WASHINGTON - Two Colonials posted double-doubles and T.J. Thompson scored a team-high 21 points and handed out six assists to lead GW to an 18-point rout over Temple Wednesday night at Smith Center.

Both Mike Hall (12 points, 12 rebounds) and Omar Williams (10 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists) were on top of their games as was Greg Collucci (4 three-pointers, 14 points) as GW snapped a four-game skid and seven-game losing streak to the Owls. It marked GW's largest margin of victory over Temple since 1960.

Trailing 34-29 at halftime, GW outscored Temple 25-8 to begin the second half including five three-pointers to take a 54-42 lead at the 13:02 mark. Temple's David Hawkins converted a three-point play to close to within seven (63-56) at the 6:35 mark before Thompson buried another three-pointer as the Colonials closed out the game with a 15-4 run.

It was GW's first victory over Temple at Smith Center since Feb. 3, 1996 and only the second home win over the Owls in 19 games at Smith Center.
