PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Marvin O'Connor scored 19 points and Damian Reid and Delonte West each added 15 points as Saint Joseph's easily defeated George Washington 92-74 Saturday afternoon.
Na'im Crenshaw added 13 points, Bill Phillips had 12 and Jameer Nelson added 11 assists for the Hawks (11-4, 5-0 Atlantic 10), who have won five in a row, all in conference.
Saint Joseph's was 35-of-53 (66 percent) from the field in the game and 18-of-21 in the second half.
Saint Joseph's made its first eight field goals of the second half, put together an 11-0 run and led by as many as 22 points, 71-49, after West made a fast-break layup and free throw.
The Hawks had runs of 10-0 and 9-0 in the first half and led 43-30 at the break. George Washington turned the ball over nine times in the half and was outrebounded 20-9.
Although the game was listed as a sellout, the building was barely half-full
due to a snowstorm in the Philadelphia area.
