PITTSBURGH (AP) - Jimmy Tricco scored 21 points including five 3-pointers as Duquesne beat George Washington 78-73 Wednesday night.

Duquesne (9-14, 3-9 Atlantic 10) rallied from a 39-37 halftime deficit and went on a nine-point run to take a 12-point lead at 71-59 with 4:28 remaining in the game and hung on for their second straight win.

Duquesne had a 30 to 18 rebounding edge on George Washington (9-16, 3-9).

The Dukes outscored the Colonials in the paint 42 to 16. Duquesne committed 19 turnovers and George Washington had 16. Kevin Forney and Elijah Palmer scored 16 points apiece for Duquesne and Ron Dokes added 12 points.

Chris Monroe led George Washington with 21 points. T.J. Thompson had 15 points, Pops Mensah-Bonsu had 13 points and Mike Hall contributed 12 points for the Colonials.
