PITTSBURGH (AP) - J.R. Pinnock scored 19 points and Mike Hall added 18 points as George Washington notched their fifth straight victory and handed Duquesne its fifth consecutive loss 86-63 on Saturday.
George Washington (16-8, 10-3 Atlantic 10) went on a 12-0 run and led 17-7 at the 13:24 mark of the first half. The Colonials led Duquesne (9-15, 4-9) 48-38 at halftime.
At one point in the second half, Duquesne cut the lead to 52-49, but could not get any closer.
George Washington forced 22 Duquesne turnovers, leading to 30 points off turnovers.
George Washington shot 60.4 percent from the field, while limiting Duquesne to 39.3 percent shooting. The Colonials also had the rebounding edge at 34-28.
Ryan Tricco and Kieron Achara led Duquesne with 11 points apiece. Elijah
Palmer and Jimmy Tricco both scored 10 points for the Dukes.
