GW Coach Karl Hobbs
on how a young team benefits from being 4-0
"It builds confidence and they start to believe in the system, particularly when we've won four tough games that haven't been easy."
on the need for defense against W&M's 80+ points per game average
"We felt all along that defense is going to be key to our season. There were two bad stats from last year: our defense and our turnovers. At times last year, we ran out of energy. This year because we're playing so many people, we have a fresh Mike Hall and TJ Thompson at the end of games. Now it's starting to show, and we're getting results."
"Last night we had two guys in double figures, tonight we have four guys in double figures. And the nice thing is that everyone who's going into the game is being productive. Jaz Cowan goes in for a minute or two, and bam--he makes a big shot. The biggest adjustment for us is the ability to put guys in the game and they're producing when they get in the game. That was the major difference tonight--we played a lot of people and our defense wore them down."
W&M Coach Tony Shaver
"GW is really a fine young team. They have great depth, great quickness and athleticism, and a lot of weapons that can hurt you. I think they're going to have a great season.
