• GW has won the last eight meetings and 14 of the last 15.

• GW has been idle for the last five days following a record-breaking 49-20 win over Saint Louis in the A-10 opener Jan. 10 at Smith Center. The Colonials are concluding a stretch where they have played just four games in the last 33 days.

•Fordham is coming off a 68-50 loss to No. 24/25 Xavier Saturday in Cincinnati. Tonight marks Fordham's first home game since Dec. 28, a 72-60 victory over Binghamton.

• The Colonials are looking to snap a five-game road losing streak. GW is winless in five road games this season while Fordham sports a 3-3 record at Rose Hill Gym.

• GW is without starting point guard Travis King, who is sitting out the season with a knee injury.

• GW has won 51 of its last 66 regular-season games and 30 of its last 35 A-10 games.

A Closer Look at Fordham: Fordham, coached by Washington, DC native and DeMatha High grad Dereck Whittenburg, enters play Wednesday with a 6-8 overall record and has lost its first two A-10 games, both on the road, at Duquesne and, most recently, at Xavier on Saturday. Senior G Marcus Stout (14.2 ppg) and Brenton Butler (11.4 rpg) are the other leading Rams. For the season, Fordham is shooting 43.9 percent from the field, averages 66.2 points a game but is being outrebounded by opponents by more than three caroms a game. Fordham leads the A-10 in scoring defense allowing just 57.9 points and opponents are shooting 46.1 percent from the floor.
