Saturday's Game: GW (5-7, 1-1) puts its seven-game home winning streak on the line when it hosts No. 20/20 Xavier (14-4, 2-1) in the 30th renewal of the A-10 rivalry. Xavier is one of only two A-10 teams with a winning record (7-5) against GW at Smith Center (Temple is the other).

• GW is 5-0 at home this season while Xavier is 1-3 on the road.

• Xavier has won five of the last six meetings and 10 of the last 12.

• In last year's game at Smith Center, Xavier broke GW's 24-game home winning streak with a 87-58 victory, the Colonials' last home loss.

• Both teams are coming off tough A-10 road losses Wednesday. GW suffered a 66-53 loss to Fordham on Wednesday in the Bronx while Xavier was surprised by Temple, 78-59, in Philadelphia.

• GW is without starting point guard Travis King, who is sitting out the season with a knee injury.

• GW has won 51 of its last 67 regular-season games and 30 of its last 36 A-10 games.

A Closer Look at Xavier: Xavier, one of three A-10 teams in the AP Top 25, enters play Saturday with a 14-4 overall record, 2-1 in the A-10. Xavier has six players averaging double figure points, led by senior G Drew Lavender's 12.3 ppg and league-leading 2.97 assist-to-turnover ratio. Lavender also among NCAA FT pct. leaders at .915 (43-47). Soph. F Derrick Brown leads the team in rebounding with 6.7 rpg while B.J. Raymond has hit 48 three-pointers (.466). For the season, Xavier is shooting 48.1 percent from the field, averages 79.2 points a game and is outrebounding opponents by nearly seven caroms a game. Xavier leads the A-10 in four team categories including scoring margin at +16.3. Xavier is one of only two A-10 teams with a winning record (7-5) against GW at Smith Center (Temple being the other).
