Wednesday's Game: GW (11-10, 4-3 A-10) faces Duquesne (15-5, 7-0 A-10) in the only regular-season meeting this season. Starting Wednesday, GW will play four of its next five games on the road. The surprising Dukes have won 10 straight and are in a first-place tie with Xavier atop the Atlantic 10 standings.

• GW enters Wednesday's game having won nine of its last 14 games but just one of the last five.

• Wednesday's game marks the 69th meeting between the teams in a series that dates back to the 1931-32 season. GW leads the all-time series, 42-26, although Duquesne has won the last three meetings.

• The Dukes are 8-1 at the Palumbo Center this season while GW is 3-4 on the road.

• Duquesne is coming off a 82-64 victory over Dayton on Sunday at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh. DU was led by Damian Saunders' 19 points and Bill Clark with 17. The Dukes shot 50.8 percent from the field and outrebounded Dayton, 42-34.

• GW is coming off a 52-46 victory over Saint Louis Saturday at the Smith Center to snap a four-game slide. GW shot 46.3 percent from the field and outrebounded the Billikens, 32-24.

• GW has been without its top returning scorer from last season, soph. G Lasan Kromah, for the entire 2010-11 season due to a preseason foot injury.

A Closer Look at Duquesne: The Dukes enter Wednesday's game with a 15-5 overall record, and are tied with Xavier atop the A-10 at 7-0 under fifth-year coach Ron Everhart. It's their best start since 1972. Duquesne leads Div. I in turnover margin (+6.9) and ranks second in assists (19.2) and third in steals (10.2). Bill Clark's 17.3 points and Damian Saunders' 7.6 rebounds lead the Dukes. Freshman guard T.J. McConnell (11.3 assist/TO) is a five-time A-10 Rookie of the Week. Four Dukes have made at least 24 three-pointers. For the season, Duquesne is shooting 47.4 percent from the field and averages 81.8 points a game.
