SPORTSNITE ON CAMPUS HITS THE HARDWOOD: NETWORK HEADS TO NATION'S CAPITAL FOR A-10 SHOWDOWN
BETHESDA, MD (February 15, 2007) - Comcast SportsNet, the leader in local sports television, travels to the Charles E. Smith Athletic Center in Washington, D.C., Feb. 17, for a sold-out matchup of two Atlantic 10 rivals, the George Washington Colonials and Temple Owls. The two teams are meeting for the first time this season and the Colonials are looking to snap a four-game losing streak.
Comcast SportsNet's Russ Thaler and the SportsNite on Campus crew will be on the George Washington campus all week to capture the traditions, excellence and fanfare associated with the men's basketball program.
Comcast SportsNet will feature a culmination of the SportsNite on Campus segments Saturday, Feb. 17, during SportsNite at 10 p.m.
The special SportsNite will feature a tribute to George Washington alumnus and Hall-of-Fame coach Red Auerbach, an insider's look at the fanatical "Colonial Army," a guided tour of the George Washington University campus, and an interview with University President Stephen Joel Trachtenberg. Comcast SportsNet will also air exclusive interviews with George Washington Head Coach Karl Hobbs and Athletic Director Jack Kvancz during Saturday's 10 p.m. SportsNite.
