GW is coming off a 84-72 victory over Temple Saturday at home snapping a four-game losing skid. Carl Elliott made GW Basketball history by recording the first triple-double in the program's 93-season existence with a team-high 17 points, his career-high 12 rebounds and 10 assists. He led five Colonials in double figures against the Owls.
GW has won 23 of its last 28 A-10 games and 42 of its last 51 regular-season games.
GW owns a commanding 54-25 lead in the all-time series including a 28-5 mark at Smith Center. GW's 79 meetings with Richmond are by far the most against any A-10 opponent. GW defeated UR, 63-58, back on Jan. 17 at Robins Center.

A Closer Look at Richmond: Richmond has lost nine of its last 10 games coming into tonight's contest and, at 2-10 in league play, are in danger of being one of the two teams not making the trip to Atlantic City for the A-10 Championship. Under second-year coach Chris Mooney, 34, the Spiders are averaging an A-10-low 59.6 points per game. The Spiders are led offensively by 6-9 freshman F Dan Geriot who averages 10.8 ppg. David Gonzalvez averages 8.7 ppg. Seven different Spiders have converted 12 or more three-pointers on the season led by Ryan Butler's 27. Senior F Gaston Moliva would have played a big role for the Spiders this season but he has missed all but two of Richmond's 25 games with a stress fracture in his foot. UR is 2-9 on the road this season and 4-6 (.400) all-time at Smith Center.
Next Game: GW travels to Philadelphia this Saturday, Feb. 24, to face La Salle in the only regular-season meeting. The game tips off at noon at Tom Gola Arena. The game will be televised by CN8 and broadcast in the Washington area on Comcast SportsNet via tape delay beginning at 7 p.m. It will air live in the Washington area on Washington Post Radio 107.7 FM, 1500 AM and on www.GWsports.com. The game also will be available via live video streaming on GW All Access at GWsports.com.
