Winners of 23 of 24 games, the No. 6/6 Colonials (23-1, 13-0 A-10) are having an historic year and are off to the best start in the 92-season history of the program. If GW can win today, it would equal GW's single-season record for most victories (24) which has been accomplished twice before (1953-54 and 1997-98).

• The Colonials' 13-0 A-10 record is their best in 30 seasons as charter members of the Atlantic 10 Conference and matches the most A-10 victories also accomplished twice before (1995-96 and 1998-99).

• GW is coming off a 77-65 victory over La Salle Wednesday at Smith Center setting a school record for longest winning streak with its 15th straight victory--longest in the nation.

Pops Mensah-Bonsu suffered a slight tear in left meniscus (knee cartilage) during the La Salle game and will miss today's game.

• GW and No. 1 Duke are the only one-loss teams left in Division I.

• Fordham is coming off a 64-58 loss to Saint Joseph's Wednesday in Philadelphia, its third straight loss, two of which were on the road.

A Closer Look at Fordham: Fordham, coached by Washington, DC native and DeMatha High grad Dereck Whittenburg, has seven A-10 victories including a pair of double-overtime wins over St. Bonaventure and Rhode Island. The Rams are led by senior G Jermaine Anderson's 16.3 ppg (75 threes, 91% FT) and sophomore F Bryant Dunston (16.1 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 53 FG%, 65 blocks). Sophomore G Marcus Stout is third on the team in scoring at 13.2 ppg with 40 three-pointers. As a team, Fordham leads the league in three-point FG% at .378 and ranks second in three-pointers made with nearly eight per game. GW has won the last six meetings including a 79-63 decision in last year's A-10 Tournament quarterfinal at Cincinnati's U.S. Bank Arena. Fordham's last victory over GW was on Jan. 20, 2001 (80-75) at Madison Square Garden. Fordham is 7-3 at Rose Hill Gym this season with losses to St. Francis-NY, Iona and Charlotte.

• GW is 5-1 vs. the Rams at Rose Hill Gym.

• GW's last loss to Fordham was five years ago at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 20, 2001.

• GW jumped one spot to No. 6 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll (released on Presidents' Day--Feb. 20) and two spots to No. 6 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll. GW's No. 6 ranking is GW's highest since the week of Feb. 15, 1955 when the Colonials were ranked 5th--their highest-ever AP ranking.

Next Game: GW travels to back to New York state Wednesday to face St. Bonaventure at 7:00 p.m. The game will not be televised but will be broadcast live in the Washington area on WMET 1160, WAGE 1200 AM as well as via www.GWsports.com.
