The Colonials recognized seniors Bryan Bynes and Dwayne Smith prior to the final home games of their careers, and the duo produced memorable outings in Saturday's thrilling 81-80 overtime win against Dayton.
Bynes, thought to be out for the season after suffering a fractured leg less than three weeks ago, finished with a season-high 13 points in 31 minutes as a starter and nearly won the game for GW at the close of regulation, but his running bank-shot rattled out.
Smith totaled 15 points, five rebounds and four steals, including a critical theft and lay-in to knot the game at 79-79 with 34.7 seconds left in the extra session.
