GW's Ricky Lucas To Transfer

WASHINGTON, DC -- George Washington University sophomore Ricky Lucas (Herndon, VA/ Herndon H.S.) will transfer from the men's basketball program, GW head coach Karl Hobbs has announced.

The 6-foot-4 shooting guard leaves GW after two seasons with a career-total 229 points (4.2 ppg), 77 rebounds (1.4 rpg), 40 steals, 22 assists and four blocks in 665 minutes (12.1 mpg). Lucas converted 86-223 (.386) FGs, 39-121 (.322) three-point FGs and 18-29 (.621) FTs.

GW (22-8, 11-5 A-10) was the 2005 Atlantic 10 Conference regular-season West Division champion and A-10 tournament champion. The Colonials lost to Georgia Tech in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Albuquerque Regional on March 18 at Nashville.
