WASHINGTON, DC - Junior point guard Tony Taylor was named the men's basketball team Most Valuable Player at George Washington University's annual Senior Honors Luncheon Thursday on the GW campus.
Taylor led the Colonials in scoring, assists and steals this past season. The Sleepy Hollow, NY, native ranked 12th in the A-10 in scoring at 15.0 points per game and finished third in the league with 4.6 assists per game to earn Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors. With 465 total points this season, Tony is now just 60 shy of becoming the 43rd member of GW's 1,000-point club. He was named the GWsports.com Colonial of the Week four times this season, more than any other Colonial.
