Rob Diggs Named Team MVP for 2008-09

WASHINGTON, DC - Rob Diggs was named the men's basketball team MVP at George Washington University's annual Senior Honors Luncheon on the GW campus Monday.

Diggs was one of five multiple-year MVP selections among the 24 MVPs honored Monday. He was tabbed for the second straight year after leading the squad in scoring, rebounding, blocks and field goal percentage this past season. The Brandywine, MD, native became the 41st Colonial to score 1,000 career points this past season and concluded his career ranked 32nd on GW's all-time scoring list with 1,118 points. He was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week following his 26-point effort against St. Bonaventure.
