A-10 Releases Men’s Basketball Matchups for 2017-18
Colonials will play home-and-homes with Davidson, Duquesne, George Mason, Richmond and VCU
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The Atlantic 10 on Wednesday announced the schedule pairings for the 2017-18 men’s basketball season, and GW will play eight games against teams that reached the postseason last year as part of the 18-game slate.
GW will play home-and-home series with 2017 NCAA participant VCU, along with Richmond (NIT), George Mason (CBI), Davidson and Duquesne. The Colonials also play host to NCAA Tournament participant Rhode Island, Fordham, La Salle and Saint Joseph’s.
GW will make visits to another NCAA Tournament participant in Dayton, along with Massachusetts, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis.
The Colonials finished sixth in the league last year with a 10-8 record and bowed out of the A-10 Tournament in the quarterfinals. This season, the league tournament comes to Washington as GW will look for to cut down the nets in the Verizon Center.
