Men’s Basketball to Begin Home-and-Home with Princeton

June 14, 2017

WASHINGTON -- The George Washington men’s basketball team has agreed to a home-and-home series with Princeton University.

The Tigers will visit the Charles E. Smith Center on December 6, 2017, before the Colonials return the game at a to-be-determined date during the 2018-19 non-conference schedule.

"We are excited to start this home-and-home series with Princeton," said head coach Maurice Joseph. "Our goal is to always try and get quality opponents into the Smith Center and they fit that mold after making the 2017 NCAA Tournament. This will be another tough opponent that will inevitably help us get ready for the rigors of A-10 play."

Princeton is coming off an Ivy League Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance, which capped a 23-7 season. The Tigers add another formidable foe to GW’s non-conference slate. The Colonials will also play host to Miami on December 16, a program that has made back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances.

Additionally, GW is set to play in the Las Vegas Invitational November 23-24 along with Xavier, Kansas State and Arizona State.
