Decision Day: Pops to Announce NBA Draft Plans at 2 pm Press Conference

June 20, 2005

WASHINGTON, DC -- George Washington University junior Pops Mensah-Bonsu will announce his decision regarding his eligibility for the 2005 NBA Draft at a press conference Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at GW's Charles E. Smith Athletic Center.

In the spring, Mensah-Bonsu declared his eligibility for the draft as an early-entry candidate. College underclassmen have until June 21 to withdraw their name from the list of potential draftees and still retain their college elibility provided they have not hired an agent. The NBA Draft will be held on June 28.

GW (22-8, 11-5 A-10) won the 2005 Atlantic 10 regular season West Division crown and the A-10 Tournament title. The Colonials were eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament by Georgia Tech in the Albuquerque Regional at Nashville.
