George Washington men's basketball will play its first weekday home game of the 2012-13 campaign on Monday, Nov. 26 when it welcomes Mount St. Mary's to the Charles E. Smith Center.
The meeting between GW and the Mount will be the 10th all-time in a series that dates back to 1936. The Colonials opened the 2007-08 season with a 77-62 victory over the Mount at the Smith Center to open a 7-2 edge in the series.
The Mount featured just one senior - Danny Thompson (7.8 ppg) - on a team that posted an 8-21 overall record and a 6-12 mark in the Northeast Conference in 2011-12.
Mount St. Mary's alumnus Jamion Christian was named the program's new head coach in March. Christian spent the previous season as an assistant coach at VCU, where he helped the Rams hold off the Colonials in the BB&T Classic in December en route to an appearance in the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
MSM is slated to return four starters, led by leading scorer Julian Norfleet (13.7 ppg), and has added four NLI signings for 2012-13.
