Colonials Men's Basketball Lends a Hand on Move-In Day
GW Coaches, Players and Staff Help Students and Parents Move Into Residence Halls
Aug. 26, 2011
WASHINGTON - On Friday, August 26, as students and parents unloaded their cars and began moving into their respective residence halls at the George Washington University, several members of the GW men’s basketball team were on site to lend a helping hand.
In anticipation of the impending affect of Hurricane Irene on the Washington D.C. metro area this weekend, the university opened the residence halls one day early. GW players, as well as members of the coaching and support staff, were outside of Thurston and Potomac House to lend a hand to students and their families as they bustled in and out of buildings.
Among those helping out were first-year head coach Mike Lonergan, associate head coach Hajj Turner, assistant coach Kevin Sutton, Assistant Director of Basketball Operations Maurice Joseph, and players Bryan Bynes, Jabari Edwards and Lasan Kromah.
Watch coaches, players and staff help students move in here.
