Men's Basketball Reveals Full 2017-18 Schedule
A-10 schedule includes home dates with Rhode Island, VCU and Davidson
WASHINGTON -- The GW men's basketball team on Wednesday revealed its complete schedule for the 2017-18 season which will include home games with defending Atlantic 10 Champion Rhode Island, VCU and Davidson, as part of the 18-game A-10 schedule.
The Colonials will open their conference slate on Saturday, Dec. 30 at home vs. Saint Joseph's, and host the Rams on Saturday, Jan. 6. Also in the month of January, GW will play three nationally televised road games, at Richmond (Saturday, Jan. 13 on NBCSN), at VCU (Saturday, Jan. 20 on NBCSN) and at St. Bonaventure (Sunday, Jan. 28 on NBCSN).
Homecoming is set for Saturday, Feb. 3 when Davidson will visit the Charles E. Smith Center, and GW will host VCU two weeks later on Feb. 17. Senior Night is set for Wednesday, Feb. 28 against Fordham, while the Colonials close the regular season at Dayton on Sunday, March 3 on NBCSN. Additional TV assignments will be announced at a later date.
GW previously announced its non-conference slate, which includes a home contest with Miami to be nationally televised by CBS Sports on Dec. 16, along with dates hosting Princeton and Harvard, in addition to the BB&T Classic vs. Temple.
The season starts unofficially at Colonials Madness on Friday, October 20th at 9 p.m. when both men's and women's basketball teams will perform in front of the Smith Center faithful.
